 Transitional
Kindergarten
In Transitional Kindergarten your child
will be given the opportunity to develop the
self-confidence, social and academic skills necessary
for success in kindergarten. TK is well suited for
children with summer and fall birthdays who are
chronologically ready for kindergarten. The program is
also beneficial to older fours who will get a head start
in kindergarten readiness.
In TK children
will learn colors and shapes, letters and numbers.
In addition they will learn science and social studies
concepts that will provide a basis for future learning.
For example: In TK your child would hear questions such
as, "is blue a warm or cool color?" and/or "if I were a
calm butterfly would I would I sit on a leaf or flutter
around the leaf?"
Our
Transitional Kindergarten classrooms help to build a
strong foundation of: religion as a part of everyday
life, discipline of the mind and body, manners in school
and in the community, and always showing kindness and
respect to classmates and authority figures.
